About the Position

Rue Insurance’s Personal Insurance Advisors are responsible for selling personal insurance products to prospects and account rounding/upselling existing clients to promote profitable agency growth that meets or exceeds annual sales targets/goals. Quality of work must exemplify the best-in-class service standards established by Rue Insurance at all times.

Work Schedule & Classification: Full-time, salaried (exempt) position

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 Annually

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Handle incoming prospect calls, walk ins and website leads for new business.

· Generate new business opportunities by actively contacting prospects

· Scheduling prospecting appointments to perform interactive sales presentations

· Gather relevant personal information to provide quotes tailored to the specific needs of the client

· Network with prospects by developing centers of influence outside the agency

· Engage a flow of referrals and new business opportunities

· Develop and utilize prospecting strategies to increase opportunities for new business

· Review customers' current insurance and recommend changes or improvements. Support the Rue Be Ready model by proactively seeking to discover client operational or exposure-based risk improvement opportunities, making appropriate risk control or insurance coverage recommendations to address identified risks, and following through to resolution.

· Build and maintain client relationships and provide a consultative approach to account activity.

· Reach or exceed annual sales targets/goals.

· Recommend additional products to clients to ensure appropriate coverage is in place

· Develop and maintain client relationships and provide oversight to account activity

· Utilize the agency management system to document all client and prospect calls and selling activities

· Utilize insurance company websites and comparative rating system

· Deliver first-class customer service by setting clear expectations with the client and continually meeting or exceeding them

· Process payments from clients and advise of different payment options that may be available from the carrier

· Following process flows in the system including logging all activities in the system, updating applications/ declaration pages, and processing all correspondence (memos, letters, faxes, email, etc.) through the computer system

· Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines

· Attend and participate in department and monthly company meetings

· All other duties or projects as assigned by management

Qualifications & Education:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Minimum of 3 years of personal lines insurance sales experience

· Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

· Property & Casualty License

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Negotiation skills

· Highly motivated

· Team player

· Basic computer knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of Applied Systems EPIC (preferred)

· Knowledge of insurance company rating programs

· Knowledge of a comparative rating system
